Chronic Pain Relief
Understanding Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is a complex condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, illness, or even stress. Chronic pain is defined as pain that persists for longer than 12 weeks, and it can have a significant impact on your quality of life. At American Wellness and Rehab Clinic, we understand the complexity of chronic pain, and we take a comprehensive approach to its treatment.
Comprehensive Treatment Approach
Our comprehensive approach to chronic pain relief combines various treatments and therapies to address the root cause of your pain. Our team of healthcare professionals includes physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists, who work together to develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Chiropractic Care for Chronic Pain
Chiropractic care is a non-invasive, drug-free approach to chronic pain relief. Our chiropractors use hands-on spinal manipulation to help improve your spinal function and alleviate pain. By restoring proper spinal alignment, we can help reduce nerve irritation, muscle tension, and inflammation.
Physical Therapy for Chronic Pain
Physical therapy is another essential component of our chronic pain relief program. Our physical therapists will work with you to develop a customized exercise plan to improve your strength, flexibility, and range of motion. By incorporating physical therapy into your treatment plan, we can help reduce pain and improve your overall function.

Electrical muscle stimulation sends high-frequency electric signals into muscles and tissues to soothe and relieve pain. When you begin this treatment, electrodes are placed on the skin where the pain is. If you have a shoulder problem, for instance, they would be placed there. Current is then transmitted into your skin. There are two electrodes, and they actually send two signals into your skin. They interfere or interact with each other to stimulate the nerves and tissues deep under the skin. Nerves are stimulated, as well as muscle tissue, and that can speed up the healing process. It feels like a minor prick or a tickle, and is not painful at all. These electronic impulses also cause the body to produce endorphins, which is a chemical that makes you feel good and reduces pain.
They key to this treatment is the depth at which it operates in your body. it is not treating just the area under the electrode patches. The two frequencies create a single frequency which is what causes the stimulation that results in healing. The frequencies can also be adjusted to go even deeper when needed.
